Gamma Beta is one of the premier Asian-interest fraternities established at The University of Texas at Austin. We proudly enter our 20th year of excellence, leadership, lifelong friendships, and service to our community. Even after a decade, our ideals remain firm: Brotherhood, Morality, Discipline, Responsibility, and High Academic Standards. Termed the “Gentlemen” amongst the Asian Greeks, GBs excel academically, socially, culturally, and professionally. The experience of being a part of Gamma Beta is unlike anything that you can imagine. If you decide to become a part of our family, you will grow to become a Gamma Beta Gentleman; one who is mature, confident, and excels at all aspects of life. The Gamma Beta Fraternity was created in the Spring of 2000 at the University of Texas at Austin. The original nine founders intended to incorporate the culture of the Asian community and the values and morals of a family to create an unparalleled brotherhood. However, due to complications with the University of Texas, Gamma Beta began as a student organization. After many long nights of planning, the initial ideas of brotherhood and unity changed from a dream to reality. With the dedication and commitment of these nine founders, the Gamma Beta Fraternity was officially established in the Summer of 2000. Gamma Beta had their first pledge class in the Fall of 2000, and with the Alpha class, began a tradition of brotherhood and unity that has been and will be passed on to all future brothers.
