Hindu YUVA is a non-sectarian forum to preserve, practice, and create awareness about Hindu cultural and spiritual heritage. Hindu YUVA is about giving an immersive and experiential exposure to the Hindu way of life to the UT Austin community while having a lot of fun in a friendly and positive atmosphere. Driven by the idea that the whole universe is one big family, we encourage maintaining Hindu cultural identity in harmony with the larger community. YUVA means youth in Sanskrit, the language in which the majority of Hindu scriptures are written. YUVA stands for Youth for Unity, Virtues, and Action. We do a lot of yoga, play games, hold faith panels conducted by campus professors, and participate in weekly discussions about deep, intriguing topics.
