Jain Students Association
International & Multicultural
Jain Students Association (JSA) was created with the intention of fostering a sense of community between Jain students and those interested in Jainism at the University of Texas at Austin. We hope to provide opportunities for our members to socialize, observe Jain holidays, discuss religion/philosophy, participate in community service (seva), and celebrate the religion's rich heritage. Whether you're here from abroad, brought up in the US, or just interested, we welcome you to join us!
Jainism, one of India’s oldest religious traditions, has become a way of life for numerous people across the world. It is a monastic religion based on the three main principles of non-violence (Ahimsa), multiplicity of views (Anekantavada), and non-possessiveness (Aparigraha).
