The Legal and Social Work Alliance Journal intends to foster interdisciplinary collaboration with the shared goal of informative outreach. Functioning as an editorial based partnership, social work students and pre-law students will study and share the injustices children face in the foster care system through a legal and social lens. This organization gives its members invaluable research experience while further developing strong analytical writing skills. Regardless of major, we urge all students interested in law and/or child advocacy to apply to both writing and editing positions. It’s important to recognize the worth of different skill sets uniting for a common purpose. Active members will attend biweekly meetings where writing and editing contributions will be shared and assessed. The executive committee will lead these meetings, and agendas will be sent out 24 hours in advance. To respect our members' time, our meetings will be enriching and efficient.
