MEDSIM aims to empower students interested in medicine and aspiring healthcare professions by enhancing understanding in clinical skills and medical knowledge, bridging theories to application in the real-world, simulating healthcare team dynamics, facilitating professional development, and acting as a network of support.
Examples of what we will do:
Community outreach- raise awareness of healthcare disparities and issues, promote health education to public schools and shelters
Learn how to use medical supplies and the names of common medical tools
Experience the medical school application process before it unfolds
Support network activities: bringing awareness to the mental health of students and establishing a more collaborative atmosphere between pre-health students
