Each year, a select group of DoS Scholars is chosen to participate in OUR UT (Opportunities for Undergraduate Research at The University of Texas at Austin) program. Led by Associate Dean of Students for Research, Dr. Audrey Sorrells, these undergraduate students are matched with research being conducted by the DoS Research Institute. In an effort to connect research with the practice of student affairs, projects focus on co-curricular programming affecting student performance, engagement, retention and graduation. Current topics being explored include culturally responsive practices, mentoring, judicial services and student veterans. DoS Scholars are chosen through a competitive process.
