Student Emergency Services assists students with different types of emergencies, including student deaths, death of a relative, family emergencies, attempted suicide, student illness/injury, interpersonal violence or stalking, sexual assault, missing students, apartment or house fire, natural disaster, financial problems, and concerns about academic adjustment or performance. Services can include student advocacy and absence notifications, coordination with relevant campus departments, limited emergency funds, outreach and support for students, short-term emergency shelter (when available), flag-lowering ceremony (for current students only), and general consultation.
