The organization is open to all student pharmacists who have an interest in industry pharmacy. Toward our goal of advancing the pursuit of a successful career in industry pharmacy, IPhO at Austin will:
- Hold monthly meetings with guest speakers from relevant segments of the industry;- Provide a forum for students to exchange information, ideas, and professional opportunities related to the practice of industry pharmacy;- Create awareness of industry pharmacist roles and driving forces in the industry; - Actively seek relationships with pharmaceutical companies for rotation and fellowship opportunities; - Create a platform for students to network with industry professionals;- Educate and prepare students to apply for internships, fellowships, and other positions; - Collaborate with other organizations within the College of Pharmacy to expand knowledge, reach, and opportunities;- Identify opportunities for developing and expanding the practice of industry pharmacy in our geographic area.
