The purpose of Texas Baseball Diamonds is to support the UT Baseball team while upholding our 3 pillars of Spirit, Social, and Service. Our organization creates lasting friendships while supporting the baseball team and serving out Austin community.
Spirit: We are the official women's spirit organization for the UT Baseball team. We support the UT Baseball team by attending games, greeting and assisting with Kids Run the Bases at home games, and any other activities that the baseball staff needs.
Social: We are a smaller organization compared to many UT spirit organizations, but we believe this is what makes us unique! We really get to know each of our members which allows for strong friendships and a family of Diamonds. We have social events within our organization, we also have mixers with other organizations on campus, and host large social events during the year.
Service: Philanthropy is a large part of what we do! Our primary philanthropy is RBI Austin. RBI Austin exists to engage and develop inner-city Austin youth athletically, academically, and interpersonally, empowering them to lead the transformation of their communities. Diamonds has a service credit requirement for each member in order for members to learn how to serve our community while strengthening the relationships in the organization because we do the volunteering together! Here are a few events we have done in the past: our annual RBI Trivia Night Fundraiser, RBI Day at the Disch, RBI Field Day, Meals on Wheels lunch bag making, park clean-ups, UT Microfarm, profit shares, 5K walks, bake sales, and many more.
