What We're About
The University of Texas at Austin Student Foundation strives to create a culture of philanthropy on campus by providing a student perspective on giving, promoting awareness of the ways private gifts impact student life and demonstrating the importance of giving back to the university to help ensure excellence for future generations of Longhorns. Through encouraging and educating our peers to make a tangible impact on campus we exemplify our motto of “Students Helping Students”.
What We Do
The Student Foundation hosts events such as ContribUTe, the university's student giving campaign in the Fall, the Class Gift campaign in the Spring, as well as the student portion of UT's annual giving day, 40 Hours for the Forty Acres, in April. The Student Foundation serves to educate students about philanthropy, assists with fundraising efforts that directly impact UT’s student body, and works to properly thank those who make gifts towards our efforts. In addition to our fundraising and educational events, we also host panels throughout the year that gives students the opportunity to learn from and network with professionals in the fundraising space.
How You Can Join
Student Foundation is open to all registered students of any major and any classification. Simply fill out our application located via this google form, https://forms.gle/zNL4ZqwZs4U19yH2A. If you have issues filling out the application please email us at studentfoundation@utexas.edu or message us @UTSTUFO on instagram if you have questions. We meet once a week on Tuesdays from 6:00-7:00pm. Student Foundation membership benefits include, but are not limited to, insider information about Student Foundation events, monthly socials and end of year events, resume building, networking and professional development experiences. Being a member provides opportunities to build the leadership, presentation, fundraising and non-profit skills that are essential for so many career paths.
