“Ubuntu” is a Zulu word that means “I am because you are”. This is the understanding that we are who we are through the individuals that we interact with throughout our lives. Ubuntu embodies the notions of compassion and humanity towards others. We are a dance team that specializes in dance forms across the African Diaspora. Ubuntu serves to empower and build an uplifted community of young dancers through the performing and the spreading of culture from the African diaspora throughout UT campus and Austin area.
