The 80 Lafayette Street Residence Hall is located in Tribeca and is in close proximity to the culturally rich neighborhoods of City Hall, Chinatown and Little Italy. Lafayette opened in Fall 1999, and houses nearly 1100 upperclass students. Lafayette is home to 32 Resident Assistants and two Faculty Fellows in Residence, Olivier Berthe (CAS) and his family as well as Aisha Khan (CAS). Lafayette also hosts the Fraternity and Sorority Life Community, housing 12 fraternities and sororities on the upper floors of the building, and the Rainbow Roster explorations community focusing on LGBTQ culture in the city.
