The Cardiothoracic Surgery Club, organized with the NYU Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, is an enthusiastic community dedicated to nurturing student interest in cardiothoracic surgery. Students are exposed to a broad range of topics, diseases, and interventions in CT surgery through a series of talks, workshops, and panels. Mentorship, shadowing, and research opportunities with CT faculty and fellows are encouraged and facilitated. Ultimately, the CT Surgery club hopes to foster an appreciation for what it means (and what it takes) to become a cardiothoracic surgeon.
