Carlyle Court is a dynamic community of 740 primarily sophomore residents. Made up of three apartment buildings that overlook Union Square Park and center around a large, tree-filled courtyard. There are two newly renovated lounge spaces; the C1 Study Lounge in Tower 1 and the C2 Entertainment Lounge in Tower 2. In Tower 3 (C3) we have a practice room complete with full length mirrors, a ballet bar and multiple pianos. [Please note: the practice rooms will be closed for the summer for maintenance purposes.] Within each tower there are two elevators and one laundry room. Carlyle Court has two types of room accommodations available to residents one-bedroom suites that accommodate three to four residents and studio apartments that accommodate two residents. We have two live-in faculty members who do programming (Kristin Horton and Lorena Llosa), two Explorations communities: Food for Thought and Serve the City, an award winning student-run hall government (Embassy), and 15 Resident Assistants who will spend the year providing fun ways for residents to get out and enjoy NYC!
