Welcome to the Community Service Program portal! The Community Service Program is a way to recognize students who dedicate their time to helping those within and outside the NYUGSOM community. In total, the program entails completion of at least 100 hours of community service and a reflection essay. It is recommended that 60-70 hours are completed in the pre-clinical years. To enter hours, please click "Events> Timesheets" on the left side of the Community Service Portal page. Search for your name and then click "details" on the right. Fill out the form, and there is an optional reflection you can fill out on your activity. Filling out the reflections now will be helpful as a reference later, once you complete your hours, at which point you will write a final reflective essay on your experience. When you are done filling out the form, click "Submit Involvement Entry." To check hours, either click "My Tools > Involvement" at the top of the Community Service Portal page, or click "Events > Timesheets" on the menu to the left. By checking your timesheet (the second method just listed), you may export your hours in excel format, for your own reference.
