Hello! We're Dangerbox, NYU's longest-running longform improvisation ensemble. Founded in 2002 under the name Camp Anawana Swim Team, we now perform monthly shows on campus for the NYU student body, utilizing longform structures like montages, Armandos, Harolds, plus some stuff we made up all by ourselves. We are fans, students, and performers at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, the People's Improv Theater, and Magnet Theater. Each year we participate in the National College Comedy Festival at Skidmore College, compete in the College Improv Tournament (in 2018 we won the Big Apple Regional) and perform monthly around campus. Our alumni include performers and writers on SNL, HBO, Derrick Comedy, Gentlemen Party, Political Subversities, Pop Roulette, Story Pirates, Cherub Improv, and more. Come check us out, we run workshops during Welcome Week and throughout the year. Auditions are the first week of September!
