Social Justice
The Silver Graduate Student Association is comprised of all students enrolled in an MSW program at the Silver School of Social Work at New York University. It is led by an elected council made up of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Senator. In the fall, two First-Year Representatives, an Advanced Standing Representative, and an International Student Representative are elected by the incoming class to be their voices on the council. Additionally, representatives from our satellite campuses can be appointed to the council. What We Do We plan events to enrich our community, including two Common Days each year – day-long professional conferences – and Silver Ball. Through partnerships with student organizations and the larger NYU community, our goal is to bolster the Silver community and make sure the students are getting what they need from our school. The GSA’s primary purpose is to act as the liaison between our peers and the Silver administration. We are your representatives, your advocates, and your voice on campus. Reach Out to Us! We need to hear your voices! Reach out to us at anytime for anything; shoot an e-mail to silver.gsa@nyu.edu or visit us in our office off of the lounge on the Garden Level at 1 Washington Square North.
