The purpose of NYU HASA is to promote awareness, foster relationships between its Haitian and/or Haitian American members, and deepen the understanding of Haitian culture and history throughout New York University and the greater NYC. Through social and cultural programs, we strive to share the beauty of Haitian history, music and language. In doing so, we not only desire to create a safe space for Haitian/Haitian American students to voice their opinions and perspective, but also create an atmosphere of cultural acceptance and diversity on the NYU campus and the city itself.
