Scholars of Finance seeks to prepare NYU students for their careers in any industry through self reflection, values-based development, and mentoring with experienced professionals. We envision a world where our future business leaders distinguish right from wrong and carry themselves through their careers with righteous, principled conduct. We provide an introspective character growth and development curriculum through Leadership Development Program for members to self-discover. We then provide events such as Speaker Series for members to gain insight and experience in the morals-driven solutions to challenges in various careers and workplace scenarios. Additionally, we offer Values Forums for members to advance values development and analyze current events and real-world applications for stewardship. Then, through the professional panel, dinner, and networking event with executive professionals at the Symposium, students are able to find learning opportunities, career-alignment, and relationships that facilitate a path towards the members’ most desired and impactful career. Our mentorship network provides members with an experienced professional to develop a learning relationship and lifelong mentor to grow perpetually. Finally, general meetings help prepare students technically for recruitment with outreach, interview, and resume workshops.
