The mission of this club is to provide medical students with the opportunity to learn and practice their Spanish language skills in a relaxing and supportive environment. Many medical students are interested in utilizing Spanish throughout their careers in clinical medicine. Weekly 'conversation tables' are a great way for students to become more comfortable engaging in verbal Spanish discussions (akin to those they will one day have with patients in clinical settings).
This club will primarily focus on hosting these weekly 'conversation tables'. During the sessions, students will gather and engage in discussions with each other in Spanish. All levels of experience are welcome; participants are simply encouraged to speak in Spanish during conversations to the best of their abilities!
In addition to 'conversation tables', this club will host other activities designed to help students further develop their comprehension of the Spanish language. For example, we will host monthly 'media nights' where we view Spanish language films or TV shows together.
