Get Involved! Join the SPS Events Committee!
Are you the person to make all the plans when going out with friends?
Have you ever wanted to be an event planner?
Do you like organizing and decorating parties and fundraisers?
Do you have absolutely no experience in planning, but still want to get involved????
COME JOIN US every Wednesday at 1:00pm!
No matter your academic interests,  the Student Council Event Committee might be right for you! We plan events for the entire SPS community that range from charity runs to huge parties to sports outings. We get to be a part of the process from the very beginning, meaning we not only pick locations, but we deal with prices and negotiating, decorating and menu options, advertising and marketing, and much more. There is something for everyone!

The Student Council Event Committee Members are responsible for:
• Attending weekly, or as-needed meetings of the Committee. All meeting information can be found on the NYU Engage Portal under SPS Events Committee
• Assisting in designing, developing, and producing of all events appointed to the Committee by the Council
• Promoting the Committee’s events amongst colleagues and peers through word of mouth
• Communicating with the Event Committee Chair to remain knowledgeable about the events and programs of the Committee
• Aiding the Chair with tasks as he/she deems necessary
• Producing SPS school wide events that are to the satisfaction of the attending student body.
If you are interested in being involved fill out the following form.
We look forward to seeing you at our meetings. Please feel free to contact us for any further information at the NYU Engage portal Or e-mail us at sps.studentlifeevents@nyu.edu.
