Political & Advocacy
The mission of this governing organization shall be to represent all NYU SPS graduate students to the NYU Administration, to build a school community, to develop programs focused on improving student life, and to oversee and fund all graduate student clubs and organizations within NYU SPS.
As a governing organization, the NYU SPS GSC looks:
1. To serve as a representative voice for the NYU SPS graduate student body by maintaining open lines of communication between students, GSC advisor, NYU SPS administration, faculty (includes full-time and adjunct), and the NYU Student Government on school-wide issues
2. To offer school-wide networking opportunities for students seeking to enrich their professional careers and expand their network
3. To provide school-wide professional, community service and social events to build a strong and well-connected student community
4. To fairly distribute funds to NYU SPS graduate student clubs and organizations and oversee that all matters comply with university and legal regulations
