The field of vascular surgery is an exciting, technically demanding, rapidly evolving surgical specialty. Vascular surgeons treat a variety of circulatory system pathologies, ranging from aortic aneurysms to peripheral vascular disease, using both non-surgical, open surgical, and minimally invasive endovascular techniques. The NYU Vascular Surgery Interest Group (VSIG) serves to introduce students to the field, educate them about the exciting potential of a career in vascular surgery, and connect them with clinical and research mentors among our outstanding vascular surgery faculty.
